Give it a try.. I've managed to play for about an hour thus far, however, the ship design is incredibly awesome. While you can micro-manage everything in the game, I would surmise that would take quite a lot of time and energy. Thankfully, the developers allow governors to build structures for new colonies. The only thing you have to worry about, is which systems to colonize, which technologies to research, which ships to build and new ship blueprints. The game's ship mechanics allow you to create ships that are as large and larger than a star. In addition, it is possible to develop weapons and technologies that can be used to blast apart stars and planets alike. Great game for just 5 bucks!. One of the best RTS's you can get imo.. Good game wish it worked on linux. Looking forward to trying SR2.. ahhh this game was a memorable, one really left a mark in my life Highly recommended also GET THE SEQUAL
